KETEM's Objectives:


  • To raise public awareness about cancer and prevention methods
  • To ensure early detection of cancer
  • To provide educational programs on health and wellness

What Does KETEM Offer?

Free cancer screenings:

Breast Cancer

  • Women aged 40–69
  • Mammography every 2 years
  • Note: An appointment (randevu) is required for mammography.

Cervical Cancer

  • Women aged 30–65
  • HPV DNA and PAP smear tests every 5 years
  • These tests can be done without an appointment by visiting the hospital.

Colorectal Cancer

  • Men and women aged 50–70
  • Fecal occult blood test (FOBT) every 2 years
  • This test can also be done without an appointment.

How to Make an Appointment with KETEM:

Who Can Access These Services:
All KETEM services are free of charge, regardless of whether you have health insurance.
You only need to be a Turkish citizen or hold a valid residence permit (ikamet).
